Marty Holtgren

Marty has been working in the Muskegon River Watershed for the past 20 years conducting fisheries surveys, Lake Sturgeon research and river restoration. He is interested in watershed ecology, natural resource management, and engaging the watershed community in activities that protect and restore their environment. He first became active with the MRWA while with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians beginning in 2002. As the Executive Director, Marty is committed to sustaining the organization through an active volunteer base and promoting programs that improve the watershed and the human and non-human communities that depend on it.
